Our Story

Gunnison Vitamin & Health Food Store has been supplying our community with ORGANIC, NATURAL, NON GMO and LOCAL FOODS (as well as supplements, health & beauty items and home goods) for almost 25 years! We’re proud to be a woman owned, family operated business with 4 generations running every aspect of the store.

Owner Terry Vader purchased Gunnison Vitamin in 1998 and her 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters and mother have been helping her manage the business ever since. John Vader, Terry’s husband, helps out on a regular basis too. You might see one of Terry’s daughters packing a baby while stocking shelves or helping their child with homework between ringing up customers…it’s a true family environment!

WORKSHOPS

On Friday, December 1st we hosted our first Healthy Living Workshop all about Fermented Foods & Gut Health!

Holistic Chef Ashley Dennis showed participants how to incorporate more fermented foods into their diet, and how to make some gut healthy staples right in their own kitchen! We made & took home a sourdough starter & fermented cranberry orange walnut relish.

Chef Ashley provided participants refreshments, recipes & all the ingredients needed to get started on their probiotic journeys! Keep an eye out for more info about our January workshop!

OUR STORE

One of my go to spots in town for kombucha and other harder to get goods. It is a little expensive but the employees are super nice and the selection is high quality.
